Finishes

There are a few different finishes you can choose from. But what do they mean?

Rough Sawn

This is timber that has been dried however it still has saw marks left over from the mill.

It takes a bit more time to get the timber into usable condition but its a great way to cut costs if you have the equipment at home.

Planed

This timber has been processed through the planer and taken off the worst of the saw marks although some may still remain. This makes both sides flat and level as they may have warped during the drying process.

Not available for all products.

Sanded

Most products are available in sanded condition. This is when all saw marks have been removed to create a smooth ready to use finish.

Please be aware that finer detail work will require further preparation at home.
